Aultsigh, Invermoriston

The cottage is a semi detached property in a rural location with attractive views towards Loch Ness. The original building is believed to be around 150 years old. It once belonged to the Dowager ( The mother of the Laird.) It was bought by the Forestry Commission and converted into two dwellings. The garden is laid with grass and slopes down being bounded by hedge and grass. There is a wide variety of wildlife, birds , deer and other animals.  A flight of steps lead up to the entrance. There is parking for two cars.

Kitchen / dinning area 16 ft x 12 ft - Table 6 chairs, washer dryer, microwave, cooker, fridge. Cooking and eating utensils, kettle, toaster. Loch views

Bedroom 1 15ft x 11ft   Bright south facing room , Loch views. Double bed. Telescope and watching stool (for Nessie hunters and star gazers)

Bedroom 2 14 ft x 10 ft.   Also situated to the front with attractive views towards Loch Ness, Two single beds. Painted wooden floor with rugs.

Bedroom 3/ study downstairs

Bathroom - 9 ft x 6 ft Toilet, basin and bath. Painted wooden floor.

Location.

The property is situated some 25 miles from Inverness and its airport. Set on an elevated South facing site having views of the Loch from the front and forest from the back. There is a mountain stream running past the house to the Loch from which the house has its water supply . ( Please note we recommend bottled or boiled water) Invermoriston with its general store , post office, hotel and tea-room can be reached either by road or via the cycle route ( Great Glen to Inverness) which runs to the rear of the property . The Primrose Bay area (which is close to the property) has extensive forest walks leading to open hills and views towards Meall Fuar-mnonaidh. Drumnadrochit is some 10 miles distant and offers many activities including various tours, Loch Ness monster exhibition, Drum Farm , horse riding and various shops, tea-rooms and hotels. Inverness is only 25 miles away approx. with all the services you would expect from a major town.
Just for interest.......Musician Bob Dylan and his brother, who could probably live anywhere in this world ,are reported to have bought a mansion in the Cairngorms National Park. A testament to the beauty of the highlands
